About Me
My name is Christie and I’m a Certified Medical Reiki Master and a Certified Reiki Master Teacher . I am also employed by a Medical School to train future doctors and health care workers how best to communicate so patient stories can be heard for better care. Through my experience I’ve realized that Reiki has a vital role to play in altering what it means to provide medical care to the whole patient and not just treat disease. With the help of my co-workers I turned one of our conference rooms into a Reiki Zen Den to support participants who have to give and hear bad news. This affirming and calming environment offers mini Reiki sessions to facilitate acceptance and relaxation. Now the Zen Den is a permanent place for people to go to touch their heart.
